St Lukes 'A' v Bec Old Boys A - league

James won the toss and elected to field.  James and Bob opened the bowling and soon had Bec in trouble, James took 3 wickets for 36 and Bob 2 for 15 as Bec slumped to 39-5.  One middle-order batsman put up a brave resistance to slow the wicket-taking and he went on to score 74 not out.  However, his colleagues could not stay with him and Bec finished on 131 off only 26 overs.  Fielding was good which included a sharp run out by Gothum and a tricky catch in the deep by Bob.

In reply St Lukes always looked comfortable but lost wickets regularly.  Most batsmen got into double figures and then got out and it was left to skipper James to steady the innings with a 30 not out.  At the end he was well supported by Shoks with 18 not out as St Lukes eased passed the target with 3 wickets in hand.
